AUAB Meeting held with CMD BSNL & Directors of BSNL Board on 27.10.2021:

Comrade S.SIVAKUMAR GS AIBSNLEA, along with other GSs of Unions & Associations, participated in AUAB Meeting held with CMD BSNL & Directors of BSNL Board on 27.10.2021: 

Highlights of the meeting held between the AUAB and the CMD BSNL & Directors of BSNL Board, on 27-10-2021. 

Dear comrades! A meeting between the AUAB and CMD BSNL and all the Directors of BSNL Board, is held today the 27-10-2021. The following are the highlights.

  (1) Launching of 4G. CMD BSNL and the Director (CM) reported that, TCS is taking hectic efforts to supply 4G equipments to BSNL and it looks promising. The 4G core is developed by the C-DOT, with which TCS has made tie-up. The equipments will be manufactured by Tejas, which has been taken over by the TCS. Equipments are installed at Chandigarh and Ambala and testings are going on. 

 (2) Payment of salary on the due date. After prolonged discussions, the following agreement is reached. (i) Salary for October, 2021 will be paid before Deepawali. (ii) November, 2021 salary will be paid on the due date, i.e., 30.11.2021. (iii) December, 2021 salary will be delayed a little. (iv) From January, 2022 onwards, every month salary will be paid on the due date. 

 (3) Wage Revision. For the Non-Executives, Management has already taken action to reconstitute the Wage Negotiation Committee. The first meeting of this Committee will be held after Deepawali. For the Pay Revision of the Executives, CMD BSNL advised to take up the issue with the DoT. He assured to arrange a meeting between the AUAB and the Secretary, Telecom. 

 (4) Restructuring. The CMD BSNL informed that, Restructuring of BSNL’s Manpower is approved by the Board, with 12% increase in the existing strength. The new strength will be 36,000 Executives and 35,000 Non-Executives. Totally, 71,000. 

(5) Withdrawal of show cause notices. The pensionary benefits of Com.S. Sivakumar, GS, AIBSNLEA, Com.Kabir Das, GS, BSNL OA and Com.Goud, President, BSNL MS, is settled. The pending cases of four serving General Secretaries / Presidents will be settled before New Year. 

(6) Holding of various LICEs of Non-Executives and LDCEs of Executives. Notifications will be issued before 30.11.2021. 

(7) Restrictions imposed on Temporary Transfers under Rule 9. A Committee will be formed with four Representatives from Unions / Associations and four Management Representatives. Based on the recommendations of the Committee, the restrictions will be relaxed. 

(8) Threatening letters against agitations. Threatening / harsh wordings will be avoided. 

(9) SAB contributions pending from April, 2020. CMD BSNL assured to clear the payment by March, 2022. 

(10) Regular interaction between the AUAB and the Management. 

The CMD BSNL assured that bi-monthly meetings will be held between the CMD BSNL and the AUAB for briefing on developmental activities. After meeting the Management, the AUAB met and decided to defer the proposed Agitational Programmes, in view of the improvements on the issues in Charter of Demand of AUAB.

Hearty Congratulations! Final Seniority List No. 9 of SDE (T) has been issued by the BSNL CO:- Dear Comrades! Consistent and continuous efforts of AIBSNLEA for the past 21 Months yielded results that the Final Seniority list No. 9 of SDE(T) has been issued by the BSNL CO today as per the Law and as per the Date of Joining/ Promotion. AIBSNLEA has taken a stand right from the day one that the Seniority list of SDE(T) should be as per date of joining which is as per Law and accordingly writing nearly 10 letters continuously to the CMD BSNL and consistently pursuing and discussing with CMD BSNL, Director (HR) and PGM (Pers.) for the past 21 months. Friends! It is a great Success for AIBSNLEA. Justice delayed but not Denied. AIBSNLEA CHQ extend its sincere thanks and gratitude to the CMD BSNL, Director HR, PGM Pers, Sr.GM SR, DGM Pers and the whole Pers. Team for the issuance of long awaited SDE(T) Final Seniority list No. 9 as per Law and as per date of joining. Another feather added in the Cap of AIBSNLEA.  MADURAI 7th DIST CONFERENCE

Madurai 7th District Conference of AIBSNLEA and Retirement Farewell to Com. A. Arunachalam, DGM(Fin) & Vice President AIBSNLEA Madurai was held in Madurai GM (O) at TRC on 17.10.2019 @ 10 AM. The Conference was started with AIBSNLEA's Flog Hoisting by Com. A. Arunachalam, DGM(Fin) & Vice President, AIBSNLEA, Madurai. The District Conference was headed by District President Com. Sankaran Satheesh EE Civil. 

Com. A.H. Rajan Babu, Dist. Finance Secretary read the list of names of BSNL Employees, Doctors & Nurses, Sanitation workers, public people etc who died due to Covid-19. The conference paid one-minute of silent tribute to them. 

District Secretary Com. K. Tamilmaran JAO welcomed all the dignitaries and members to the Dist Conference. 

Dist. Secretary Com. K. Tamilmaran, JAO presented Annual Report and Finance Secretary Com. A.H. Rajan Babu AO presented Financial Report. Both the reports were unanimously passed in conference. 

Retirement Firewell Address to Com. A. Arunachalam, DGM(Fin) retiring on 31.10.2021 given by Com. Chandru, Ex. CWC Member, Com. A.H. Rajan Babu, AO, Com. V. Mari AO / Ex. DS NFTE etc.

Our respected General Secretary Com. S. Sivakumar-GS-AIBSNLEA arrived in the conference. Our chief guest respected Shri. Venugopal Riyali, GM, BSNL, Madurai BA came to the conference hall and all the members welcomed GS and GM. 

District Secretaries of sister unions like AIGETOA, SNEA, BSNLEU, NFTE BSNL, SEWA-BSNL, AIBSNLBWA  have attended the conference and greet to the conference and new office bearers as well as Com. A. Arunachalam, DGM(Fin) for his retirement. 

Our General Secretary Com. S. Sivakumar  has delivered the presidential address at the conference and covered all the burning issues of BSNL such as 4G Service, 3rd Pay Revision, Cluster management, FTTH issues etc. He insisted the unity among all the unions and associations is the most important in present days and unity will save the BSNL and its employees. 

Our GS Com. S. Sivakumar remembered old days' memories with Com. A. Arunachalam, DGM(F) and JAO Class handled by him. He mentioned that Com. A. Arunachalam is a senior member of the association and participated in all the programmes. Finally, he wished him for his peaceful, healthy and wealthy retirement life. 

Our respected General Manager Mr. Venugopal Riyali has given Chief Guest Address in the conference and appreciated the speech of our GS for covering all the issues and he greeted the DGM(Fin) Com. A. Arunachalam for retirement and new office bearers. The speech of GM has given encouragement and motivation to the members. 

Lunch break was given for the conference. Both non-veg and Veg delicious food was served to all the members. Com. A. Arunachalam  DGM(Fin) sponsered for lunch the Dist. Conference. 

After the lunch break, the conference house was again assembled. Com. S. Kamaraj, Ex.ACS Trichy,  Com. S. Karuppaih Ex.DS, AIBSNLEA, M.Chandrasekaran,Ex.CWC member Madurai have graced the conference with their admirable presence and thought-provoking speeches.

Com. Vinayagamoorthy, Asst. Circle Secretary has given an elaborated speech for BSNL Present Position and greeted the new office bearers. 

Com.I.Saravanan-Circle President and Com. S. Anand, Circle Secretary has given special address to the house and explained very well regarding BSNL Position, 4G Spectrum and all the important HR issues. 

All the dignitaries have been honoured in the session by presenting Memento and Shawls.  Our retired officers Com. Muthupandi AO, Com. Ravi Chandrasekaran AO was also honoured by the General Secretary. 

Com. Muthukumar Dist. Secretary Tuticorin, Com. Prabakaran, Dist. Secretary, Tanjore, Com. M.A. Rajan Virudhunagar, Com.S.Anand, Com. Suresh Kumar Karaikudi etc have given a special speech and greet the conference and new office bearers. 

Com. A. Arunachalam, DGM(Fin) & Dist. Vice President has given acceptance speech and remembered olden days memories, thanked all the members who wished him for his retirement. 

After completion of the acceptance speech of DGM(Fin), the existing body was dissolved by the Dist. President. 

Com. I. Saravanan, Circle President was appointed as Returning Officer for conducting the election of new office bearers. 

A list of office bearers was submitted Com. P. Sekar AO and Com. Shanmuga Srinivasan, SDE and the same list was unanimously accepted in the house. The New Office Bearers are given below. 

Com. Sankaran Satheesh, EE Civil has been elected as Dist. President, Com. K. Tamilmaran, JAO has been elected as Dist. Secretary and Com. S. Subramanian, JAO has been elected as Dist. Finance Secretary. 

The conference was concluded with the Vote of Thanks of newly elected Dist. Secretary Com. K. Tamilmaran, JAO and followed by the National Anthem.
